Pediatric Sedation

If your child should need a procedure or a test requiring sedation in the Children's Hospitals, our highly trained physicians will provide you with a safe and closely monitored painless option.

Our pediatric critical care physicians provide sedation for patients that need to undergo a variety of painful or frightening procedures. These procedures may be required as part of either the diagnostic workup or treatment of such disorders as cancer, blood diseases, gastrointestinal disturbances or cerebral palsy. These services are provided in a room with monitoring capabilities that is outside the main operating room suite to allow easy access for physicians and families.
