Dr. Haun grew up in Smithville, Ohio and completed his undergraduate degree in Chemistry at Taylor University.  He received his medical degree from Ohio State University and completed his residency in Pediatrics at the Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH.  Dr. Haun subsequently completed fellowship training in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Johns Hopkins Hospital.  He is board-certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine.

Dr. Haun is the medical director of the Children's Hospitals of MN - PICU on the St. Paul campus.  Prior to joining Children's Respiratory and Critical Care Specialists in 2004, Dr. Haun served as medical director of the PICU at the Children's Hospital in Columbus, OH and subsequently as medical director of the PICU at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.  His special clinical interests include neurocritical care and patient safety.  Dr. Haun and his wife have three children and reside in Hudson, WI.  His leisure interests include fly fishing and upland bird hunting.
