Dr. Baisch

Dr. Baisch grew up in Sidney, Montana and graduated from Jamestown College in North Dakota. He attended medical school at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine in Grand Forks and completed his pediatric residency at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha.

Dr. Baisch practiced as a primary care pediatrician in Scottsbluff, Nebraska for seven years and then completed his fellowship training in pediatric critical care at the University of Minnesota. Steve is a pediatric intensivist at the Children's Hospitals on both the St. Paul and the Minneapolis Campus. He serves as the Medical Director of Pediatric Critical Care at Gillette Children's Hospital. 

Dr. Baisch is board-certified by the American Academy of Pediatrics in pediatrics and critical care medicine.  He is the Medical Director of the Continuous Renal Replacement Therapies and Plasmapheresis program, with a special interest in ECMO management where he is one of 4 ECMO consultants.  Other medical interests include asthma, pediatric trauma and continuing education for first responders in pediatric emergency care in the rural setting.

Dr. Baisch and his wife, Marsha, have two married children, and are proud grandparents. They reside in Bloomington. In his leisure time, Steve enjoys golf, basketball and being with his family.
